| - Point Brugge has good, solid food that is served in a mostly simple manner which highlights the flavors and freshness. The stand out in our party was the mustard crusted salmon. Very delicious. The fries, mussels, and crab cakes were also good. The Carbonnade Flamande was a hearty dish on a cold night, but unfortunately, it did not stand above a good, homemade roast or the like.
We were there on a busy night (night before Thanksgiving). Out waitor was wonderful and accommodating; he never rushed our large group. I found the bar maven to be quite surly, but they do sling some good cocktails and craft beers. However, they only have a handful of taps so don't expect a huge draft selection, although each one is carefully selected.
The restaurant is small and definitely gives the feel of a modern neighborhood cafe. As charming as this can be, the no reservations policy can distract from the charm both when you're waiting for a table and when you're eating (and the people waiting for a table are forced to hover near you).
In sum, a good joint that's worth repeating, but it does have a few "meh" aspects.
