$15 manicures, $35 mani-pedis.
A small little space which is certainly maximized by their team.
I stopped by without an appointment for a manicure - within 10 minutes I was sitting with Mila who was very kind and friendly. She did a great job on my nails; didn't miss a spot with the polish, cleaned my cuticles well. Hand massage was a little dry on account of her not using enough lotion.
Mila had another customer who came in 10 minutes after we began and was happy to wait while she finished up with me. Saying "hi" on my way out, this customer said she'd been seeing Mila for over 8-years and following her to whichever salon she was working in. That's high praise.
Cleanliness was pretty good - lots of sweeping and sanitizing of the pedicure bins, although the place is a bit rough around the edges. Customer service is friendly and they seemed to be very very busy despite several other salons around the area. You get the vibe that this is a real community spot.
They didn't seem very familiar with their Point of Sale system (or at least with English, and following the instructions) so I had to help. Not a huge wrinkle for me, but perhaps a bit of a liability (potentially) for them.
In brief:
- lots of colours to choose from (OPI line and others)
- happy to take walk-ins
- great prices
- close to Broadview subway station
TIP: Bring your flip flops if you're going for a pedi!
