n Phoenix, NOT BBB Certified, I was grandfathered in from Brinks to ADT. Paying $35/mo very poor customer service. Alarm panel high pitched beeping every 15 seconds. (Panel is in Master BR no way to sleep through it) I am told they can't get someone OUT FOR A WEEK. i ASK THE SERVICE REP "CAN YOU HEAR THIS BEEPING OVER THE PHONE???" She admitted that she could and it was loud enough to wake the dead. She had nothing to offer. A couple of hours later.....I finally call tech support who tells me how to disconnect panel myself. I also call to ask how to change the code and was told I have old Brinks technology and no way to change it. So I really have NO SECURITY from people who are no longer living in household. Changed to COX, when Cox disconnected panel no call from ADT that my service was disconnected!!! Called the next day to tell them I had switched to Cox which by the way allows me to use my Smart Phone to turn on and off the alarm, has my code and codes for visitors, also a camera for $12 less a month. ADT tells me I have to give them a 30 day notice. I tell them that is not in my BRINKS contract. They tell me that doesn't matter that ADT bought the contract. I asked to speak to a manager. ONE COULDN'T BE FOUND. i told the service rep that if a manager did not call me I was going to write them up on the BBB. THEY AREN'T ON THE BBB. FORGET ABOUT USING THEM. COX ALREADY CALLED ME TWO DAYS POST INSTALLATION TO SEE IF i HAD QUESTIONS AND CONNECTED ME TO TECH SUPPORT FOR MY VERY SIMPLE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE KEY PAD.
