Dr Soumi is a very good dentist, however his staff and billing personnel are less than desirable. My wife and I have had to take the time out of our schedules to dispute/fix erroneous billing problems each of the last three visits we had there. The person submitting the bill to our insurance company would bill us under a dentist we did not see at the practice , and who did not take our insurance. In each case, we had to call and explain to them they had to bill under Dr Soumi as he is the dentist listed under our insurance policy. Then I called to schedule an appointment for a semi-annual cleaning. The receptionist asks me if this is for a deep cleaning. I said it was for a regular six month cleaning. She asked me about the deep cleaning, and I told her I obtained a second opinion from another dentist, and he said it was not necessary. She then told me I would have to get the deep cleaning from Gardens Dentistry in order to keep going there, and maybe the other dentist should do my six month cleaning. Wow, all of this from a receptionist. She must have some type of advanced degrees I was not aware of to determine what patients can and cannot be treated at this practice, and the specific care they require. Very unprofessional. My wife and I will be going elsewhere.
