  • Our experience building a pool with Artistic was good, however, after our pool was finished we started having problems, which is why only 2 stars. Within a month of completion an entire piece of cool decking cracked, about 5 feet long, which Artistic said couldn't be repaired. Then we started having problems with our equipment. Our pool is 5 years old and we've had every major component of our pump replaced. Once we were out of warranty Artistic wouldn't help us facilitate repairs anymore and basically washed their hands of us. We've gone directly to Hayward for repairs, and given our history of problems with this pump (and because they've also switched manufacturers) they've continued repairing our equipment under warranty. In the last couple years our cool decking has cracked in many more places and it's all flaking off around the edges of the pool and spa. We don't know anyone who has had this many problems with their pool pump or cool decking flaking off, we really feel that we got lemon equipment, and we were extremely disappointed to realize that our contractor didn't care about the work they did once it was finished. The final product looked nice but was not worth the $60K we spent.
