rev:text	Horrible experience , would not not recommend this business ! Pure and Simple recently opened this location in my neighbourhood. I thought i would try it out after reviewing their impressive web page. I arrived ahead of my scheduled appointment time . I was asked to fill out a form which i anticipated as it was my first visit to this Spa. OI was offered a beverage but they did not have any Green Tea .... i was offered a coffee , but was then told they did not have any milk...... thought it was strange that reception told me she had purchased some take out & would give me some of it ? This sounded strange to me therefore i opted for some water ... I was escorted into a tiny very dark room & told to undress and get under the covers.... unlike other spas i was not offered a towel wrap ... i also noticed the spa like music was very loud . The young women assigned to me entered the room, introduced herself and immediately offered to get some of their own products to show me for purchase. I was put off by this hard sell tactic of their products and requested that perhaps we could proceed with my facial appointment and perhaps discuss purchase of products afterwards.... Just to make thing clear ... I then confirmed one more time that my main reason for my facial was to give my pores a much good clean & let this be the focus of my booked facial !!She then left the room again ??? find the products needed. After a very quick look at my face .. again she began to push services that could take would take of my broken spider veins. I checked my watch and the actual facial did not begin until 10:15 . I had been lying on the bed since 10am. I was surprised that my eyes were not covered or protected .... she started with a series of cleansing locations , i presume .... a great deal of massage .. using pressure points. These products hall had a "heavy& greasy feel " . My eyes were exposed to all the products during this aggressive massage including massage my pupils & eye lens area through my closed lids!!!!! This was all very uncomfortable & very distressing that such sensitive areas were being massaged!!!.. shortly into the massaging of my face and eyes my eyes began to sting and burn !!! I asked that she please avoid the eye area due to the painful burning .... She attempted to wipe my eyes with what felt like a heavy & rough face cloth ... i felt grains from the scrub now enter my eye area.& scratching my eyeballs !!! .. the stinging continued for hours following my appointment !!!!! The scrub used felt like tiny sharp bits of something scratching my skin ..... by now i just wanted it to be over !!! Extraction was very short & extremely painful ....years of having this done i have never felt such pain!!!! She extracted the plugged pores just around my nose area .. nothing for my chin or forehead! I would also like to add that the young women providing my facial .. "sniffed " all the was through the treatment .... very upsetting indeed. The facial ended at exactly 11 am !!! 45 minutes after it began. My eyes continued to burn and sting & i was told by the staff that that was "NORMAL" and continued to tell me that i should not worry about any damage to my eyes!! I was charged $73.00 for this disaster of a facial!!! This was the monthly special price!!! I am 59 years of age and have had many many facials over the years .. In my opinion, my experience at Pure and Simple Queen Street East location had to be the worst spa experience in my life . The burning and stinging of my eyes continues for several hours following my appointment . The products used felt cheap and had no appeal .. the service delivered was heavy handed and unprofessional. I felt like a number , the customer service very similar to a fast food establishment .. i avoid those & I would never ever recommend this Spa. Upon arriving home .. I examined my my pores .. they had not been cleaned out other than a few around my nose area.
