  • This place has been here forever! Used be open only 5 days a week and cash only. Now open 7 days and take cards. Some of the best home/soul food around Everything is made when ordered so it comes out hot. All the visiting pro athletes come here for homestyle cooking when playing in PHX. Not a big place, so it can get busy at lunch. They're open for dinner now, too, but I have not been here for dinner. I typically get the fried pork chops, greens, and sweet potatoes. The fried chicken is really good too! All the Southern staples are available; red beans, black eyed peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, mixed greens, catfish, pork chops, and chicken. For dessert, peach cobbler. Not fancy but has never disappointed with the food. Family-owned and all very nice people.
