  • Bacchanal Buffet is the epitome of jack-of-all-trades, master of none. It certainly is superior to Wicked Spoon, which I tried two years ago, but it isn't a major improvement over the other popular Vegas buffet. Bacchanal Buffet is a value considering everything you get--snow crab legs and stone crab claws, Asian noodle soup station, raw oysters, charcuterie, beautiful pastries, bone marrow, pork belly, fancy takes on french fries, and so on. A meal for two, plus tip, will set you back around $140. Then again, you could spend about the same for much less, easily, on the Strip. For me, I found that I was happiest when I stuck with creamy dishes, carbs, and desserts. For example, the truffle scalloped potatoes was divine. Also loved their gemelli pasta in a rich, white sauce. And all the mini cakes, tarts, and cakes were well executed. Sadly, these are the kinds of items that fill you up way too quickly. I got all excited seeing their cooked seafood selection, like their coconut curry clams. They also had one or two cooked mussels dishes. Unfortunately, these shellfish dishes all consisted of overcooked, chewy molluscs. Nooooooooooo. Their raw oysters were okay, not that sweet, but hey, it's buffet. My husband tried some of their meat offerings, including their pork belly, and he said it was way too lean for pork belly. Where's the decadence? Also, the mini burger was more fitting of something in the kids' section of family-style restaurant's menu than an upscale buffet. Neither of us tried the stone or snow crab, but it seems like you can definitely get your money's worth eating just those two items. Overall, a decent buffet place on the Strip, but hardly extraordinary. 3.5
