I went in to make a return. When it was my turn the young lady helping me told me to press the continue button on the screen. The screen prompted me an acknowledgment. By pressing continue I understand I will receive promotional emails once my email address had been submitted. I pressed cancel because I did not want to receive any emails from forever 21. The young lady asked me if I entered my email and I explained I didn't because I did not want to receive their email. She then tells me in order to make my return I had to put in my email. Then tells me "if you don't want our emails just unsubscribe." I did not argue, entered an email address to be done with the return before becoming more frustrated. I called their corporate office and they informed me that you DO NOT need to enter your email to make a return. Simply hand over your receipt and item you'd like to return. It was poor customer service. I will not be returning to this location or any forever 21 for that matter. Coming from a retail background I would never let my staff treat a customer the way I was treated today.
