  • Make an appointment! If not be prepared to wait. Sad but true. It helps to have all the paper work thr DMV requires before you go. I went to go and change my name. Luckily, I printed and filled out the forms I needed before going. Now, I didn't make an appointment because I forgot. I arrived 1 hour before closing with the knowledge that I could not leave because they lock the doors at 430pm. So, I waited in line to put name in line. I am glad that the text message service is now in place for walk ins. It gives you a heads up of what your place is in line. So, you can leave and get something to eat etc. Changing my name was simple enough, and the person helping me answered any lingering questions I may have had. I took a star away for the limited parking, dirty bathrooms. If I am gonna be at the DMV for awhile I like to find a parking spot without getting hit by another car going for the same spot. Small but an important detail.
