| - I swore to myself that I'll never take another cycling class because I died the first time. But then I found myself dragged to another cycling class to try it out. My sister and I came the first day Cyclebar was offering free classes, so why not. And guess what? I survived this class and took another class the week after! I love this place.
From now until March 5th, Cyclebar is offering free classes and I definitely recommend taking advantage of it! The staff are probably the nicest and happiest people I've met. You can tell they love their job. We were greeted with smiles entering the building and once we turned the corner, we were greeted with a "chilled water or room temperature water?" and a free water bottle! Who doesn't love free stuff?
You MUST register and sign up for a class before coming. You check in on iPads by finding your name, grab the cycling shoes that correspond to your bike number then head over to the lockers. If it's almost time for a class (or a class is just ending) it DOES get a little cramped in there. There is one studio with 40+ bikes and just the same amount of lockers. The lockers are free and do not require a lock.
Once inside the cycling room, you go to the bike you signed up for (don't steal someone else's bike, it'll throw off everyone off) and adjust your bike accordingly. The staff is very knowledgable and are so willing to help you get situated. I appreciated it very much because I could not, for the life of me, click my shoes into the pedals.
Then... you cycle. Amazing songs, energetic and enthusiastic teachers, lots of racing each other, and lots of sweat. I still think I'm crazy for coming back, but the sweat is worth it.
They have a lot of specials & promotions right now since they're just opening. They also offer deals and discounts for employees of The District (YAY!)
