| - I had not yet delved into the frozen yogurt trend that is sweeping Toronto, but when Menchie's opened up near me, I decided to give in to the hype.
First, they have little sample cups and you can go and try each flavour before committing. While this was a great aid in helping my finalizing my decision (a little lemon meringue, a little strawberry tart), it also helps you practice using the pumps before you put your yogurt in the cup - and trust me, there was a learning curve. Some of the flavours I really liked, and some were not to my taste at all (like cake batter, which is actually my favourite Cold Stone Creamery flavour).
Topping were fun - again, some I would never pick (like sour keys or cola bottles), and some I loved, like popping bobas and mochi. They had a ton of choice, and my giant purchase came to under $4. Ya!
I definitely wish they had smaller cups though -- you pay by weight, so I understand from their perspective why it's better to give you a cup that's too large, but I didn't like it (also I found the spoon to be too large...okay, I'm crazy).
Got a Menchie's card and I get a treat on my birthday - which luckily is next week! Woo-hoo!
