  • Sonny's seemed like the next logical stop after we were at San Tan since it wasn't too far away. One server discovered we were from Vegas and compared Sonny's to the now closed Glitter Gulch. I would say he was pretty close with Glitter Gulch being maybe a slight notch higher to give you an idea of where your expectations should be. So I made a call getting a pass and we headed over around 2200 on a Saturday night. The cover is $10, free with a Yelp check in. There's also a 10 for 20 Yelp deal. The space is pretty typical, you know the odor, you know the lighting, and you know a bottle of domestic is $5, the picture is painted already and I don't have to add much more. Since alcohol is served, the bottoms stay on. The stage is pretty long, but there's only one dancer up there per song. There wasn't a lot of dancers on the floor if they weren't on stage. This is bad because there's not much else to look at, but good because you're not constantly getting harassed every two seconds to buy a dance. We were there for maybe an hour and a half and we spent most of the time sitting at the stage spending a dollar at a time. I only brought in $70 on purpose because I had no intentions of blowing my load literally and figuratively. That was gone after spending on one cover, a couple of rounds of beer, my time at the stage, and a dance for my brother. Dances are $20 and was told the dance is pretty typical and it wasn't strict hands at your side at all times. The talent after an hour wasn't jaw-dropping or gag inducing, but it got better as some of the late crew started coming in. So I decided maybe we should hang out for a little bit longer so I went to the ATM to reload. When I saw the the absurd $10 ATM fee, I waived my brother over and we jetted, end of story. If you come, there might be something that catches your eye, but I wouldn't bet $10 on it.
