  • Basically, if you do the mani/pedi yelp deal, then you'll get one done in haste. I was already in the shopping center, so I figured why not. The ratings were not that bad and the reviews seem hit or miss. I didn't want to drive to another place, so I walked over from lunch. This was a Saturday afternoon and the place was empty, other than their employees. One was sitting in a fold-up chair outside smoking, the old man reading the newspaper near the front door, one on her ipad and headphones at her station, and Speedy Gonzales that worked on my nails (there was one other that was really nice, but I think she was the receptionist). I asked the older man was sitting in front if they are still doing the mani/pedi yelp special for $30. He mumbled, nodded and pointed to the direction of Speedy G so I went and chose my colors. As I was choosing my nail colors, I heard the older man tell Speedy G that it was going to be the $30 special and then the he says, "It's the special? OK, I'll just do it quick then." They were speaking in Vietnamese and they obviously had no idea that I am fluent in Vietnamese. So the reviews that I read before coming here were true. If you did the special, they'll keep your session very short regardless of how busy they are (obviously, since the place was EMPTY when I walked in and when I walked out, but yet they still wanted to rush through). There was no hand massage, just enough to put the lotion on. He missed a nail for the base coat he was going so fast. He applied two uneven coats and rushed me over to the chair for my pedi (is the water supposed to be really cold?) then put the top coat on before I sat down. It was not the experience I had expected. Only one friendly employee in the place and I didn't interact with her until I had to pay. I still gave a more than decent tip (only because my I grew up with family working and relying on tips to make a living). I would not go back to this place again. There are so many nail salons within a block (maybe less than) of each other with the same deal and better customer service.
