  • The Southside is a quaint little restaurant in tremont with not so special food. I might be a little harsh with my rating but I really didn't like the chicken and waffles. They were trying to make a simple classic too fancy. The chicken wasn't you're standard fried chicken...it was covered in soggy tempura breading and The waffle was drenched. I willsay that the ambiance and service were great. We were a big group seated right next to the fire place. Everyone else at the table seemed to really enjoy their food. I'll try it again but I'll definitely steer clear from the waffles!
