| - I rented a truck from a pair of friendly, knowledgeable, service-oriented employees on Saturday morning. They were great and even gave me an upgrade. I left feeling very happy with my experience.
Upon returning the car on Monday, I met the "Mr. Hyde"-side employees: arrogant, novice, and sleazy. A simple question of how much another day would cost had to go through three different people, including the manager TERRY SMITH, to look at me like I had two heads (TERRY never once introduced himself so I still don't know if he is a manager). Those three employees made simple math mistakes when calculating the 24-hour periods of rental, only relenting when I wrote it out for them and explained their own policy to them.
To top it off, upon returning I was told they would not be able to charge the rental to the account for MPP, Mechanical Protection Plan, underwritten by Old United Casualty. The main reason I walked 30 minutes in the heat to rent from Enterprise (I WAS TOLD ON THE PHONE THAT THIS ENTERPRISE DOES NOT "PICK YOU UP" ON SATURDAYS) was because my car's extended warranty plan has an account with Enterprise. Before I rented, I was promised, twice by MPP and once by this Enterprise branch, that I wouldn't have to submit paperwork and wait for a check to come in the mail. Now my credit card has been charged and I was left with no recourse.
This hit-and-miss service left me feeling angry and confused. Chalk it up to no solid sales training/leadership at the "2021 S Alma School" Enterprise, or to a choice group of tactless employees, but I will think twice before renting from ENTERPRISE again.
