  • Race City Motorsport Park, or Race City Speedway as many of us know it, is the perfect place for car and bike fanatics! This place usually has something going on that is sure to please some sort of motor head. From drift competitions to super bikes, Race City has it all. If you've never been out to Race City for an event, you should give it a try. Even if you're not that into cars (like me) it makes for a fun afternoon. I've been lucky enough to catch a few pretty interesting activities there. They have plenty of seating surrounding the race tracks, so you can pretty much see from wherever you are. They also have a little cafeteria where you can satisfy your appetite while watching some of the races. Now, much like any large facility the prices of the food seem a little high (for low quality food), but it's your only option for nourishment... if you can even call it that! Most of the events are free to watch, but sometimes they charge you a small entrance fee. It's usually not very much and is generally just charged per vehicle, not person. Sometimes you have to sign a little waver stating that you won't hold the establishment responsible if something were to go flying off the track and hit you in the face, but it's just precautionary. They have huge chain link fences separating you from the track, and more often than not the events aren't hectic enough to cause a serious crash. The worst I've ever seen is someone losing a bumper or side skirt during some drift competitions. Seriously though, it's the coolest place for car lovers to go. After the races are over, the drivers take their cars to the parking lot so that admirers can have a peak at what's under the hood. I'd say head on down to Race City for their next event; before the city shuts them down to make room for a new landfill! It's good fun!
