  • People that I know are from the Cleveland area tell me they've never been here and I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. Yes, there are a ton of other ice cream spots in the Cle area that are also really good, but Honey Hut is a tried and true standby. No gimmicks, no funky flavors, just sweet, delicious ice cream. If there is a particular season flavor you like you have to get there at the beginning of the month, otherwise it will be gone. That's my one complaint about this place, and the sole reason I'm giving it four stars. There have been many times we have come even on the second WEEK of the month, and they are sold out for good of the monthly flavor...and those flavors only come around once a year. When I asked why they don't just make more to last throughout the entire month, they just said they make a limited amount of each flavor. Seems a little counterintuitive to me, especially since people come specifically to try those particular flavors. All criticism about limited flavor availability aside, this place is great. I absolutely love coming here in the summer and sitting out on the "patio" to eat my ice cream, and this place will always have a special place in my heart.
