I love going to IKEA to shop if I have the entire day to walk through the store. Because that's entirely what it will take is an entire day!
Majority of the time you can't go wrong on their prices and it feels like almost a steal on some items. However, The quality can sometimes be questionable.
I find their return policy signs to be very deceptive since you have to return the item in the original packaging which means unopened and NOT assembled. this was no problem to me on till I purchased a dining table from here only to open it and noticed it had already damage upon the table top with nicks and chips in the white table top portion. I knew it would be a fiasco to return this item or even exchange it since I did love it so much. So I reached out to the store which is entirely frustrating to get anybody in store by phone. You'll find out when you call your routed to a central customer service location not the actual store. Long story short I was stuck with the table that had damage and I couldn't do anything about it.
The positives of IKEA are certainly the great prices and I often find excellent deals in the returned items area which is located downstairs near the checkout. These are all final sale items that have been returned due to a defect or a customer changed their mind or even had been a floor model. Whenever I get to the store this is typically the first area I check out since the deals are so great!
If you can ever pay IKEA for The assembly of their products that will be the best purchase of your life! Assembling IKEA furniture can vary between simple to extremely difficult and frustrating. I joke that some relationships won't survive the assembly of some of their products because it can be so frustrating!
The children's section has some really great things such as plush animals, toys, imagination play things and much more. I have even purchase the doll bed and used it for a photography prop. I'll have to upload a photo of how I added to the bed and made some modifications and looks great, would never guess it was an ikea doll bed, lol. In fact, I found quite a few photography props from IKEA.
There shopping carts have a mind of their own and truly will just go whichever direction they please. I'm going to try to upload a video of my mom trying to push a cart at IKEA. It's hysterical!
