  • Well - what a bargain! We came in for CES and scored a saturday night stay for .... DRUM ROLL .... $59! Ok .... now pull out your kazoos for anticlimatic droning ... ready? WAHHHHH! The resort fee was a bit INSULTING. I forget what I paid but was it $20 0r $30? OK - I get it - I am in a major property well positioned on the strip. I even got a free upgrade to a high elevation room facing the strip - for a fine view! The staff for reservations and front desk were just fine and professional. The valet guys were exceptionally courteous and prompt. Understand it was a saturday night stay ... and I booked it at the last minute 2 days early. They were UNDERSOLD so such a fine place could be had for cheap - and the place was indeed "light" for crowds. So if this was so good for $ and service, free room upgrade and just a miserly resort fee to contend with - why only "A-OK" three stars? Because it had nothing desirable for dining on property. The pool area was too cold to visit. The overall size and variety of the property was limited compared to many other superior properties. So it was not hitting on all cylinders for me/us. It was competent but just not enough to "wow" us up to 4 stars.... although I dare say it approaches 4 stars. Clearly it was not leaning into 2 stars. But gee - they stopped doing the FREE Pirate shows on the big boats out facing the strip years ago - what an anticlimatic disappointment? Chuckles.... So for the money it is excellent - if you want your vacation to truly be memorable and your budget is comfortable spending up to $200 a night including resort fees and taxes - I know we could have gotten many other properties with clearly superior facilities and refinement. Like the Wynn, or any number of others. We were there for the convention so we just grabbed T Island for being cheap and well positioned. Final BIG PLUS - they have FREE VALET PARKING! Just tip reasonably if not generously! We were appreciative and tipped generously....
