| - Let me start by saying that I love their macarons & gelatos, not a huge fan of their prices though. The owner chose a good location for this small shop. I would give them a 3.5 star review, let me explain why.
It's small, clean & well decorated however there's only 2 chairs & a small table to sit hence the "get the hell out of my shop after you've payed top dollar for my products". Should you decide to sit for a few minutes, they have no garbage cans anywhere to throw your container out (especially the gelato or popsicles) & the staff are too busy with other clients to give a crap (maybe they forgot to put them out but it's happened a few times) so now I have to walk on the street to find a trash can. The staff are kind but hardly speak any English. Listen, I get you're in the heart of the plateau but come on. End of my rant.
Let's get to the macarons. They're little, delicate, delicious, everything a macaron is supposed to be. My personal favourites are the raspberry/rosemary,caramel sea salt, champagne & the foie gras. Vanilla is pretty solid too!
The gelatos are not as exciting as they used to be but maybe it's because it's still spring & many of the produce used are not in season(blueberries for Charlevoix region). The raspberry is tart & refreshing, the mango is also delicious. Years ago, they used to make creative ones such as mojito & blueberry (as mentioned earlier). I might just have to be patient & brace myself until this summer. The vanilla (Madagascar) & chocolate are excellent choices to cool you down on a hot day.
I still enjoy bringing macarons fans here but I'm not as excited about it as I was 5 years ago.
