  • I ended up coming to Centennial Hills Animal Hospital after my last vet mis-diagnosed my 11 lb, 13yr old dog as just an 'old lady lump'-she ended up have a spindle cell tumor/cancer. Wanting a second opinion, my neighbors suggested Centennial Hills Animal Hospital and had only positive things to say! When I called the woman on the phone was friendly and actually took time to hear my story and scheduled an appointment the same day! I was greeted warmly by the staff and asked to fill out a few papers, they also offered to call the former vet and transfer both my dogs records over. I waited only about 5 min to be put in a room and the vet Dr. O'Donoghue came in shortly after. She greeted me by name and asked asked me how Gladys was doing.. I gave her the long story and she was genuinely concerned. She worked with my dog, looked at her leg-which had staples in it (another point of leaving the old vet). She asked if the other vet had offered to asperate the large lump, I said no. The course of action was to asperate the area (which should have been done by the other vet) get the results and go from there. Dr. O'Donoghue gave me a few ideas of what the issue could be, including spindle cell tumors and the outcomes. Overall Dr. O'Donoghue was concerned with the health of my dog, was gentle with her and took her to the back to do a deeper exam and take fluids. About 24 hrs later I got at call from the vet herself with the results. Not what I wanted to hear but was prepared for the next steps and the referral to the LVVSC (Las Vegas Valley Speciality Care Center). Had I not got to the Centennial Hills, who knows if Gladys would still be alive and as happy as she is today. Dr. O'Donoghue called to follow up after my dogs surgery and recovery and we went in to see her for a final check up! Over all, very happy with how she worked with my and my dog as well as her genuine concern. I bring both my dogs here now and have nothing but fabulous results!
