| - My nephew bought a laptop computer from Best Buy in Aurora today. Upon opening up the product, the laptop asked for username and password login and wouldn't allow the set-up process. Obviously, there's a problem with the new laptop. So my nephew drove back to Best Buy with this new laptop and was told by customer service to see Anton at Geek Squad to see if it can be fixed. Not only was Anton unhelpful, he was downright rude! Without any hesitations, he blamed the issue on my nephew and said "this is your fault. Anytime this issue appears, it's the user's fault", that was it, didn't offer to look at it any further or attempt to fix the problem! Ok so we just bought a new computer that doesn't work and it's our fault - I'm wondering if Anton means it's our fault for buying it from Best Buy or maybe it's our fault in assuming Geek Squad can help fix the problem?? Thankfully, Best Buy Customer Service was helpful enough to replace the laptop, as for Geek Squad, poor customer service and major bad attitude. We subsequently called and spoke with Anton and he did apologize, but this should've never happened the way it did. Just want to share this unpleasant experience.
