  • So, my dad wanted to go here for Father's day and what kind of son would I be to tell him that he was picking an obviously inferior Vegas strip steakhouse? I will say that this place is better than I was expecting and while it's still nowhere close from the top strip steakhouses (which is hard to visualize when this is 4 stars and they are 5), there just isn't a lot to knock about this place. It's certainly of a particular style of steakhouse let's get that straight. It has NOT changed with the times at all. It's decor is atrocious but hey it's part of the theme of the restaurant and it works, old fashioned all the way. My dad claims we used to go there when I was an infant and so when he says it hasn't changed one bit, from the way it looks I believe him. Ultimately though the food is pretty good. Nothing will blow your mind and nothing will make you say I wanna come back for that specific thing. The menu is uninspiring and you could probably guess off the top of your head 80% of the menu items because they are classic steakhouse staples and nothing more. All of this sounds fairly negative but really since the entire theme of the restaurant is to take you to a different time for steakhouse dining, surprisingly it works. -Caesar salad. Run of the mill typical caesar salad which isn't a horrible thing. Won't blow you away but should meet your expectations for what a caesar is. -Filet and Rib eyes. Honestly both are very good. Dry aged and seasoned well they are good pieces of meat. Again you won't be going nuts over them and there are no absurd toppings to put on them (this is one of the only times when my dad asks for A1 to go along with a 60 dollar steak I haven't cringed), but they are very good. -Cheesecake. I mean the cheesecake was really good. Tasted great. Again it's no fancy cheesecake. There's no liquid nitrogen frozen mint on it, no fruity reductions. It's a slab of cheesecake. A good slab but a standard one. I don't know how this place is even still open. It doesn't seem like it's ever busy and since there are now 15 reviews for it on yelp I feel like nobody goes here. But it's still trucking away and at the end of the day if I happen to be in the Circus Circus (and Idk why I would ever do that to myself) and I'm hungry, there are worse places to stop by for a meal.
