  • My wife and I visited for a late lunch today (2PM) with our 7-month old son. Early afternoon is the time to go for your fish fry fix. Two couples at the bar and 3-4 booths full made for immediate seating in the dining room. Service was surprisingly lacking compared to past trips (even when the place is packed) but incredibly kind none the less. Food was near perfect. Cheese curd appetizer came out moments after the drinks. I had the fried cod, fries and slaw. Fish - love it. Fries - great. Slaw - not a fan, but others are so I can't really nit pick there. My wife went with the fish boil, which is usually spot on, only to run into a number of large bone pieces. Towards the end of our stay the service slowed even more. Waited for a bit too long for refills, the bill and a to-go box. I know we'll be back.
