  • This is one of the crappiest hotels I have stayed at! I have stayed at a motel 6 that was nicer than this! Positive: -The only things this hotel has going for it is the location to lake mead and the Hoover Dam, the 12am-4am 99cents breakfast and they allow pets. Negative: -The owners have NOT spent ANY money upgrading or fixing this place sense it was built (Except the outside). -The employees, have I don't care attitudes, I give them some credit though cause unlike the fiesta they don't have condescending attitudes. - The pet rooms are on the bottom floor of the main hotel. We stayed in a Non-smoking room which was right outside the casino on the first floor so right when you stepped out the door you got hit by the smell of smoke. -The entire hotel is carpeted, the carpet is old has lumps, stains, and Hello carpet absorbers smells like cigarette smoke and feet. The carpet in our room was stained and gross, every hotel that I have stayed at that allows dogs has had tile floors in the rooms reserved for dogs (the entire room) which makes since and I prefer, as they don't absorb smells from dogs, stains or feet. -Our Room was supposed to be 2 queen size beds... they were two full size beds (prince) that were so low they didn't even line up with the head boards (that were nailed to the wall). -The Bathroom shower had only a fabric curtain (how does that make sense?) so naturally it absorbed the water. The shower head is for people who are under 5' 4". it was so low I had to shower on my knees. -There was no Hot water and the hotel was not even close to full occupancy and we didn't take our showers at common shower times ( 8pm and 12am). -The A/C unit didn't shut off when we put it on off it shut off when it wanted too. -The TV was from the early 90s. -The only lights in the room were 2 very dull lamps and bathroom lights. -The curtains would not shut all the way. -We paid for a mini fridge when we got to the room there wasn't one we had to go to the front desk and tell them to put it in there (we had already paid for the fridge before arrival) so then we had to wait for it to get cold instead of it have already been in our room before arrival and already cool. (COME ON!) -The casino is small and does not have a wide selection of machines or tables. Now I am not a gambler but I know a good casino when I see one and this was not it. -The food: they have three different places to eat, the cafe, buffet/restaurant and some snack bar. Let me tell you now the snack bar is the best of the three. The cafe, buffet and restaurant are all in the same room, this room is the ugliest room I have ever seen (not dirty). It has very high ceilings, white walls, all of the picture frames are low on the walls right above the booths which draw more attention to the long walls and high ceilings, the colors of the booths are plain and the room is too spaced out. Now I can not tell you in description why it looks so bad this is the best I can do but let me tell you my High School cafeteria was nicer. The food was gross at the restaurant I had a grilled cheese and my Girlfriend had eggs bacon and hash browns, the sandwich and hash browns tasted like old grease like they didn't clean the stove for days before cooking it. The 99cent breakfast was the best thing we had at 12am at the cafe which is in the same room as the buffet and restaurant, its one corner, and at the snack shop is good food. The hostess at the restaurant sat us at a 4 chair table right in the middle of the floor and didn't ask if we were okay with that, I do not like to sit in the middle of the floor so we moved to a empty booth that was 4 feet away from the table and the waitress had the audacity to come back over and say "you shouldn't seat yourself you should have told me that table wasn't, okay you shouldn't seat yourself to ensure the best service" with an attitude (She is very lucky I didn't deck her, "No Bitch you should have asked") and if 4 feet is really crappy service maybe that person shouldn't be a waiter) So needless to say I don't even recommend the hotel for its convenience I would rather drive the 5 miles from Boulder City or camp at the lake which FYI the hotel is not actually in Boulder City. We paid $50 a night to stay here during off season (which is the same that we paid for the Luxor on the strip during peak season and was way way way more awesome). Definitely not worth it. The condition of this hotel (hacienda) is worth $25 a night. And to the owners Fix this hotel, Upgrade, hire a interior designer, time to renovate or by a large crane with a wrecking ball.
