The Wine Cave (as we call it) is the only place I can think of where the attentive staff can describe a drink as awesome but 'stinky,' 'barn yard,' and even 'putrid,' yet you still want to try it. Maybe even more now. Sometimes it's the most interesting thing you've had in a while, and sometimes, it's exactly how they described it. The Wine Cave is a place for late night experiments. It's never the first bar we go to, and usually the last one of the night. It's a perfect closer for a date going well, or a small group, but gets very crowded on the weekends.
Quick tips:
-You can pick a bottle off the shelf and bring it to your table, but don't open it! The wait staff will definitely give you a lecture if you do.
-The 'Beer' Cheese Board is awesome, and perfect to split among four or more friends.
-It's a bit hard to find the first time. It shares a door with the Inn on Coventry. Go through there and down to the basement underneath the strange gothic painting of a man with a birdcage on his back.
