I didn't know that Jo Koy owned this restaurant. Now that's out of the way let's take about this establishment.
It's a nice place inside but the only grumble I had was how small it was. I guess the set up is for one person per one hot plate but what if you had a big group?
On to the food..
I ordered the ribeye meat size samurai (large) with spicy miso base. I asked if they had a paste or sauce that was spicer. OMG! They warned me about it but did I listen? NOPE! The base of my hot pot was soooooo spicy. Lol!
The prime rib comes out raw of course and you take a piece and dip it into the boiling broth. Give it less then 10 seconds and it's finished. Choose your sauce.. I got ponzu (soy sauce with lemon) and dipped my meat and ate my rice. I like my meat Rare so that's how I did all my meat. You're in charge of your food and you cook everything yourself. So you're the caption of your ship :-)
Will I be back again?? Probably not, unless they fix the sitting situation to handle parties of 4 or more. Also if you're short like my friend the hot pot itself it's kinda far. I don't have a problem but she did.
