  • We are incredibly disappointed with our most recent experience. We used Scottsdale Remodeling and Design, LLC to remodel our kitchen a couple years ago and were overall very impressed with Jake and his dad. The attention to detail, the quality of the work, the friendliness...the complete package! Because of our first experience, when we needed more work done we went back ... HUGE mistake :( We were told our small job could be completed within the two weeks we needed it done by. Not only was the original timeline not met (ran about a week and a half over after starting several days late), the job is STILL INCOMPLETE FOUR MONTHS LATER. We are even more disappointed because of the 180 degree difference from our original experience. He has informed us during the few text conversations he will actually engage in, that we wanted a "rush job...so that's what you got...but then (you were) wanting everything perfect..." My feeling is that if there were going to be corners cut to meet our original deadline, that should've been disclosed in our original agreement - we were told the job could be done, and given our past experience our expectation was not only quality work, but the job actually being completed. There is still an incredible amount of trash/debris from a patio tear down sitting on the side of my house, the stucco was damaged and not repaired, the screen door not reinstalled, the boards they broke during patio removal were not replaced leaving the roof insulation exposed, the gate not fixed to our agreed upon specifications (a change order given he couldn't find the original gate we requested), and the concrete not epoxied (we were told towards the end of the job the concrete had to cure 30 days, which we understood, however it was the middle of October that it was installed and it is now the end of February...) To add insult, the original job has already been 100% paid for. Jake has continually and admittedly ignored our calls and texts, and when he has responded, was often rude. At one point he texted me at 3:06 AM (responding to a text from 8:30 the previous morning), which I think is incredibly unprofessional. The few times he did agree to meet with us, he backed out last minute. He periodically will text back, but has yet to follow through with his promises, and immediately sends our calls to voicemail. I cannot express how disappointed we are.
