  • I was worried about getting the reserved car (Chevy Tahoe or similar) as we had 5 guys with ski gear and were heading over Rogers Pass so I called to confirm 2 days prior to the trip and was told "Yep, a Tahoe is reserved". BUT, when I showed up, the garage staff took my driver's license/info and then wheeled out a minivan. When I complained, the counter staff looked at me with a blank stare and said "Well, the computer says you ordered a minivan" and showed me their iPad which had some code which - apparently - meant minivan. I told them that I had reserved a Tahoe, had confirmed via the telephone that a Tahoe was reserved, and that I needed a Tahoe. They then asked ME for proof that I had reserved a Tahoe. I pulled up my reservation on the Enterprise App using my Confirm Number and up popped my info with a picture of a Tahoe (thank God!). They then seemed to back down a little and took the Confirm number from my phone and entered it into their computer (which they should have been able to do in the first place). Why they did not already have my confirm number makes no sense to me. My travel companions and I waited with our gear out in the cold of the parking garage for probably 15 minutes before they drove up in a Tahoe. They then had me sign all the forms AGAIN (since this was a "modified" reservation) and after this 1/2 hour of nonsense, we drove off in the car I had reserved. I have always used Avis at Calgary but saw a better deal at Enterprise so I though I would give them a try this time. If I am in a hurry or need a specific car type, I will be going back to Avis. Saving a few bucks is not worth cramming 5 guys w/ gear into a minivan and then running off the road on Rogers pass.
