| - So I came here on a Saturday afternoon (more like today ), and upon my arrival, I had learned that I needed reservations in order to be seated. Anywho, since it was just me, I asked if I was able to order take out instead. When I put in an order for the Earl Grey Panna Cotta, the owner informed me that it was a dine-in item only . With a split second decision, she looked at her reservation list and made some accommodations by asking if I would be okay with a short seating time before the party arrived. Done and done.
She seated me quickly and I proceeded with my order of the Earl Grey Panna Cotta and Syphon coffee. I loved the panna cotta (made with their in house loose leaf teas and no artificial flavours added, by the way) simply because it had a consistent hint of earl grey that was not overbearing, and the panna cotta overall, was creamy yet light. As for the coffee, I loved how the owner showed me how they were preparing it. In terms of the taste, there definitely isn't an after taste to the coffee.
All in all, I had a pleasant experience and was glad the owner was willing to make accommodations for someone grabbing a quick afternoon snack.
I would definitely recommend this little shop to anyone looking to have afternoon tea (6 tables, seating a total of 20 people or so), but don't forget to make reservations as it gets busy on the weekends! I have yet to try their afternoon, but I'm sure it'll be great the next time I swing by.
