| - My family and I chose Comfort Suites due to how many of us there were (three children and three adults). We needed a place to stay overnight while visiting the city, somewhere that we'd be comfortable and it wouldn't be too expensive. The reviews for this hotel, price, and it's proximity to the city, were great! Ms. Bina, the front desk manager, allowed us to check in early on Saturday (03/10/18) and was very nice. Our room had two queen-sized beds and a sofa bed, which would've been plenty for us. We needed extra soap and a toothbrush, and the hotel was quick to oblige. The problem arose when it was time for bed. We had two to a bed. When it came time to pull out the sofa bed, we found that it was full of various bits of debris, and the linen that we had asked for was not on the bed, but in a drawer. The sofa bed had not been attended to for some time. To be short, it was filthy. We called the front desk about it (it was around 8-9pm),and my mother-in-law requested that something be done to rectify this issue, and we were told that there was nothing that they could do because they didn't have any housekeeping staff available to clean and make the bed. The front desk told her that since we booked with a third-party (Orbitz), that maybe they could discount our stay, which we disagreed with-but what can you do?
I gave this hotel three stars still because the room, besides the sofa bed, appeared clean. The beds were comfy, and the hot breakfast (available from 7am-10am on the weekends) was palatable. The front desk attendants were very nice and helpful. Just check your sofa beds before trying to sleep in it.
