| - I had very high expectations of this place. Maybe a bit too high. I'm sorry, this place will not be in my list of top 5 favorite buffets in Vegas. This is why:
Came here past Sunday night around 7PM. Tried out some of my favorite items like prime rib and it was dry on one side and raw on the other end. Some of the other items like the bamboo mahi were just dry and bland also. I don't know if I came on an off day but I can't say it was worth $30 for the seafood dinner.
If you do want to get your money's worth, get the warm crab legs. They were juicy. Also was the oysters, the curry, the red wine (which tasted like a milder version of a cab), the beer (which was a German lager), and the desserts.
Speaking of desserts, we came here with a bunch of friends and one of the girls had a metal string inside of the desserts. When asked for a supervisor, it took 30 minutes to find the guy. He seemed apologetic and went to the kitchen staff and checked on the problem and was going to refund my friend for the meal. 20 minutes after that, he came back with a biz card and on the back it scribbled "one free meal". What the heck? Who is going to go eat a buffet by themselves? And didn't you promise money back in the first place?
As for the "biggest winner" contest, they give you these yellow entry cards which no one explained to us about. I went to ask one of the hostess and she told me that check their website to see if you are the winner for the week. Well, here is their website and it says nothing about it. http://www.themresort.com/dining/studiob.html
I don't think this place is well managed, also when the food was bad, it just made the place seem worse. I might be back one day, but only to try out the Hash House a Go Go that is about to open inside the M hotel.
