I was at the SEMA show at the convention center and the SLS hotel was within walking distance so I thought lets find some food there.
The options at the SLS aren't that great but Northside Cafe looked promising (for a Cafe in a casino).
Me and wife but got breakfast options, the ham steak and eggs and corned beef hash. The ham steak and eggs was good and a the portion size was decent...the corned beef hash was also pretty good (massive amounts of butter!) but the portion size was comically small.
The bloody mary was decent and oddly enough the standout item from this meal was the piece of Rye toast I got with my ham steak and egg. For some reason it was just really delicious.
The price is typical for this type of place, ~15 dollars an entree.
I was considering giving this place 4 stars because in terms of the food it's actually in the upper half of casino cafes but the hostess was really rude (or just clueless?). When we were leaving, I asked the hostess if there was a place in the hotel that served coffee. She was like well we serve coffee here...and gave me attitude while pointing to the sign above her saying "well this is a CAFE." I was like uh...ok. Technically what she said isn't wrong but it's how she said it that's the problem.
