  • It was incredibly frustrating to come home from vacation to find that my AC unit had stopped working in my absence, in August, in Las Vegas. I was preparing myself to either (not) sleep in 90 degrees or spring for a hotel for the night and deal with it the morning. For some reason I started poking around for an HVAC company that might be on-call 24 hours. I came across Alaskan and saw not only the strong reviews but also that the owner was totally engaged in responding to customers. I called the call center and 10 minutes later was on the phone with Chris W. I apologized for waking him up and we talked about the fee structure, it was so incredibly awesome that it was essentially the same cost to have him come over at 2AM vs. waiting until the office "officially" opened (note to Owner: never change this, it was the clincher of why you ultimately got my business. If it had waited until morning, who knows ....). Chris W. arrived within the hour and started diagnosing the issue. He was really informative and helped me understand the possible issues and didn't seem to mind that I was watching over his shoulder. You could tell he knew what he was doing and was truly a professional. I kept waiting for the boom to drop, some kind of sales pitch on why I needed a blower motor or motherboard or another piece of equipment I've never heard of but it never came. I have an older AC unit and while he admitted he was a bit of a bandaid, he filled up my freon and I was back up and running, in the middle of the night, for a couple hundred bucks. I really appreciated Chris W and Alaskan and how they came to my rescue. Highly recommended, anytime of the day, and will definitely be my first call next time (hopefully a long, long, long time from now)!
