  • I would have given Flamingo five stars but I know that there are nicer hotels. That said, I couldn't have been happier with my stay at the Flamingo. (1) The Room: I read some pretty awful things on here about the regular rooms so I opted to stay in a Go Room. DEFINITELY worth the extra money. The room was very nice with a very large shower, pink lights in the bathroom, and awesome view of the strip. I could see the bellagio fountain show from my room each night I was there. If you are going to stay here, Go Room is definitely the way to go. (2) The Casino: Nothing special. The theme is interesting but it is like any other casino on the strip. (3) The Buffet: You are better off going to a nicer buffet. I went for lunch and there were more dessert selections than there were entree selections. (4) The Pool: AWESOME. The pool was fairly large and had a slide that kept kids and adults occupied. Because of the various slides, children stayed more towards one end of the pool and adults were mostly on the other. The waterfalls were great and the drinks were pretty strong. The only annoying thing was that you weren't allowed to bring in your own food or drinks. I will definitely stay here again.
