| - The people up front are very nice and helpful. However, in all honesty these apartments are not worth the price AT ALL. I've lived here for almost a year now and I'm not going to renew my lease and I'm never coming back. Here's why, the overall quality of my room when I moved in was bad. All doors were gauged at the bottom as if a viscous dog was locked in each room and Aztec Springs simply painted over it. There is no washer and dryer and the laundry room they provide cost way to much to do a load. They put me in a room right next to Denim & Diamonds where the music is extremely loud 3-4 nights of the week PAST 2 in the morning. I know you can't really complain about that but c'mon, not even a discount for the rooms closest? But then you'll come to my door to say my music is to loud, when I don't even have a stereo? They are ridiculously strict about parking. They will listen to EVERY complaint made by there loyal residents and none by new residents. And most of the loyal residents are crabby old people who complain about everything so good luck having peace/privacy. Now listen to this, My car was parked forward, with new tags and a registered plate that was also registered with the office up front in my name. And one day my tranny goes out and I had it towed into my parking spot. Someone who saw my car being towed in called the apartment office and complained. Next day I get a call asking if my car was operable, I say yes ( I work at a shop and was going to fix the tranny THAT VERY WEEKEND ) so I didn't feel the need to say it was inoperable, to me that would just cause a hassle that doesn't need to happen. She very nicely says "okay I was just wondering because someone called it in". Sounds like everything is cleared up right? Well what do you know the next day I have a green sticker in my windshield saying it needs to be moved because of tags. My tags were good for another year. I left the sticker on because it was being stubborn and becuase I thought it was obvious that the tags were good. Now I can't remember if it was the next day, or the following but I come home and my cars gone. Call the cops, they proceed to tell my that my apartment complex towed it for being INOPERABLE.... Yes that's right, not for tags like the sticker says, for being inoperable even though I said it drove. Now you can say " well it wasn't operable so why are you mad". I'm mad becuase why would you ask me if my answer didn't matter to you, and why wouldn't you at least notify me 1 more time. Also, how did you know my car was inoperable? Did you break into it? Pop the hood? Try to start? This is irrelevant to the review but I never got my car back after this because I couldn't afford the $600 fee to get it out of impound. Why so much money? Because Aztec Springs decides to pick a tow company that's all the way out in the middle of no where. After this extravaganza I DID NOT YELL/COMPLAIN OR EVEN CONFRONT the manager about my car. UNTIL 3 months later when I see a dodge intrepid has been parked backwards "against the parking rules on the lease" and with expired tags/unregistered plate. 2 WEEKS Go by and the cars still there, so I call the front office and ask it to be towed away, (she doesn't know who is speaking) and she tells me that Aztec springs doesn't tow the cars, the police does. So I call the police and they tell me that they never tow green stickers and they never tow out of private property. They say it was my apartment complexes job and to talk to them So now I'm comfused.... I know the police aren't lying to me so who is? Aztec springs. This wasn't said out of anger because I lost my car, that was about 6 months ago. I'm just trying to let people know that if they choose to live here, this is how situations are handled by Aztec springs. A few other things I have to say. Heated pool didn't feel heated. Maintenance guys are standing around doing nothing everytime I see them. It takes forever for things to be fixed. They offer wifi but only if you love close to the lobby. Some of my outlets didn't work, my dishwasher didn't work from the getgo. They say no kids under 18 without parent supervision but there are kids running around screaming all over the place, running into the streets, riding their bikes around even though the lease says no bikes. But they will refer to the lease when it come to parking or late fees. They charge $75 for 1 day late on rent. Even if you sign a promise to pay. Even if you sign a promise to pay 2 weeks ahead of time saying you're only going to be a day late. You can only use the washers and dryers with money on your laundry card and you can only put money on your laundry card in the front lobby and the front lobby is only open 8-6. Which is when a lot of people are working so it's really hard for me to find a time to put money on my card so I can do my own laundry. Vending machines are broke and have been for a while. I'm out of space on this review so I hope it was helpful.
