OMG....I can't believe it took me three years (how long I have been back in Phx) to eat at this place. I have heard the amazing reviews but just never made the attempt to go until today. It was a friends birthday and he suggested going here so off we went. What a CHARMING atmosphere and ever so friendly staff!
There were three of us and we had a slight wait for a table at brunch time but it was very pleasant outside. We got our table and Hills came over and took our drink order and checked on us and then our waitress Sarah came over to check on us too. We ordered the $5 Bloody Mary and helped ourselves to the BM condiment bar. The Bloody Mary was a good size and a bonus was being able to put your own condiments in it! We ordered our lunch from the very ample menu and I immediately had my eyes on the Cheddar Biscuits with Sausage Gravy! Being from TX I am a SNOB about biscuits and gravy! Let me tell you these were TO DIE FOR! I am sold and will be back over and over!! My one friend ordered a hamburger and I don't remember what my other friend ordered but all three of us really enjoyed our meal. Hills came over and checked on us a number of times and I mentioned we were celebrating my friends birthday and the next thing you know she appeared with a ice cream sunday topped with whipped cream and fudge sauce and three spoons! How totally nice of her!
We enjoyed our brunch and conversation and our special bonding with Sarah and Hills! We all said we would definitely come back again! Thank you Windsor, Sarah and Hills for making my friends birthday lunch such a special occasion!
