Texas De Brazil is so close to being an excellent Brazilian steakhouse but falls short in a few key areas...
Salad bar - the selection at the salad bar is good, but several of the items (specifically cheeses) were missing identifiers. The smoked salmon was inconsistent, with the first time we had it being great, second time really bad (very fishy), and third time it was warm. Their black bean dish (feijoada) the first time did not appear to have meat but the second and third was stocked with pork.
Gaucho service - my biggest gripe i find in many Brazilian Steakhouses are the lack of consistency in meats and temperature. Texas DB makes it a point to ask what temperature you'd prefer, then everyone stops by with shoe leather well done. I was disappointed all three times we've been there because we received only a fraction of their actual meat selection and even after asking for specific meats they did not come around, but went to tables closer to the kitchen.
Servers & host staff - good, consistent drink refills and knowledge about the bar menu. Frequently offered to refill our side dishes.
Overall, they have a lot of potential but fall short in creating a positive experience.
