I provided a review of my chat experience to Cox directly after this interaction. Since they probably don't give two hoots about what I have to say, I am copying and pasting it here:
I asked specifically if you offered a phone line that did not use the internet. Instead of a simple no the rep strung me along for 10 minutes only to ultimately get to the answer that you have to have internet and a modem to use your phone services. All the while using snarky chat responses. Poor customer service and deceitful tactics.
Ridiculous!
