I was a patron of the Velvet Underground for over a year. After multiple times informing the owner of my lack of knowledge when it came to the DC Comic book universe, he continued to treat me as if I should be an expert. When I ask him any questions I as met with a since that I was bothering him and felt I was being scolded. Steven for example talked me into purchasing a blank sketch cover comic and then wouldn't even tell me what event to attend after asking multiple times. He treated me as a person who should know everything about comics and there multiverse. I am a disabled person who is visually impaired. When I would ask him questions he responded with a manner that was very unprofessional. I found to be more and more difficult to continue to do business there. He had the attitude of a person who seemed bothered by anyone not on his knowledge level. As a new comer I am enjoying learning everything about the DC comic universe. However, advising him on multiple occasions that I was new to collecting, Steven really didn't seem to care. My opinion is he needs to learn some people skills especially if your a business owner who likes repeat customers. Let me end by saying the support staff is absolutely wonderful, caring and really knows how to treat there customers and are very knowledgable. They are in no way reflective of his abrasive personalty. It seems that Steve treats them like prison inmates then knowledgable employees. Good Luck I will not be a patron of this store any longer.
