I ordered the special of the day, which was a grilled cheese with ham, caramelized onions and fresh avocado grilled on buttery French bread. It came with a fairly large portion of tater tots (comparable to a LARGE order of Sonic tots), as well as a free dipping sauce. Their Bloody Mary dipping sauce is the most popular and very tasty. I also tried their Parmesan Ranch dipping sauce, which was absolute perfection with the tots. This was a VERY heavy meal for a lunch. Next time I might split meal with a co-worker or just opt for the sandwich and dipping sauce.
The Grilled Cheese Truck is part of the Ride and Dine Food Trucks that travel around for events. I hope they come back to the State Capitol for Food Truck Wednesdays or Food Truck Fridays because the food trucks involved in those events are gourmet, fresh, good quality and worth the splurge.
Here is their menu, as well as their travel schedule (click on Phoenix).
