  • My husband and I have been following Oro on IG and FB for ages now and anxiously awaiting their opening. We stopped in on Opening weekend and were very happy with what we saw. The space is open and comfortable with a large window looking out to the street and there is outdoor seating available. Nice, laid back vibe. Inside, the tables are nicely spaced, there's a long bar with plenty of seating and even a stand up area along the back wall for when things really get hopping. The acoustics are nice with good music playing loud enough to hear but not blasting so you can carry on a conversation. For the sports fans, there are TVs above the bar but the volume is turned down so you're not struggling to shout over them. For now, Oro is serving guest beers--all great local choices, by the way-- on all of their taps. Although their beer is coming soon, we applaud their move to open now as we don't have tow wait any longer to enjoy the location and the beer and food choices are both great examples of local businesses supporting each other. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. His knowledge of local beer and several great recommendations led us to a nice rainy afternoon of quality beer drinking. We were also served a bottle of water with our beer *without having to ask for it*; something that doesn't happen nearly often enough around here. The owner was around while we were there and was very friendly, even coming to the door to thanking us for coming in as we were headed down the street--very nice. While Oro does not have a kitchen, they have menus from Worth Takeaway next door and will call in an order for delivery. The food from Worth Takeaway is is very, very good--try the banana pudding....awesome! We look forward to returning to Oro and trying their beers soon but we are happy to hang out there and drink local in the meantime.
