I'm so sick after my experience with Hendrick Kia of Concord, I cringe every time I hear an advertisement for any car dealership. I'm going to peel Hendrick's sticker off of the back of my new Kia and if I have to go to a dealership for any servicing, it will be to a different dealership. The biggest problem was on the page that they factor in taxes, tags, and fees, the discounts that they originally offered to me disappeared. When I asked about the discounts, the Sales Manager assured us that they were there, but everything was rearranged and factored differently. I did the math later. It was a lie. They also tried to highjack my loan so they would "get credit" for financing me with the credit union that I was using. I already had everything set up with the credit union and had a letter of preapproval. The Sales Manager told us that if we didn't fill out the credit application that night with the dealership, we would have to go to the bank to fill out the same type of paperwork later. That wasn't true. The credit union was able to do all of the application process electronically with us. It took us 3 hours to fill out paperwork at the dealership that night. I guess we were so tired and hungry that we were easy to take advantage of. But really...should you have to be at your best or should you have to have a friend or family member who knows all of the tricks to keep from being conned into paying more? I'm kicking myself for not doing things differently. My first mistake was going to Hendrick Kia of Concord. You can do what you want, but I'm telling all of my family and friends to stay away from that dealership.
