If you're traveling with a bunch of people that can't make decisions, doing a food tour is a great way to alleviate frustration from the indecisiveness. It's also a really nice way for the person doing most of the navigating for you on your trip to get a break for 3 hours!
Definitely a great excuse to explore a part of Montreal (Mile End)you probably wouldn't be exposed to otherwise (unless you're with a local). Camille was a wonderful host...she added tidbits about the neighborhoods we walked through (a little history mixed with a little personal observation of how the makeup of the neighborhoods have changed), as well as tidbits about the business owners/businesses we visited (as opposed to just the things we would be stuffing our faces with).
I loved the variety of foods offered (falafel, bagel, gnocci, charcuterie/cheese, chocolate, ice cream...I think that sums it up). Not sure how much the tour was, as my cousin treated us, but it did seem like a solid amount of food. The only thing I would have loved more of is a little more interaction with the business owners. I get that the weekend may not be an ideal time for them to stop what they're doing to engage with a tour, but it would have really made the experience that much more rich.
