I'm from NYC but I love Montreal style bagels. They're not as big and dense, delicious sweet when toasted, and well designed with a larger hole (I mean, less carby ). Apparently Fairmount is the big time here (St Viger being the other which we did not try), and apparently the classic choice is the sesame which I happen to love due to the nutty flavor. My hubby and I split one, and thought it was delicious. They were also very fast - just an in and out place so don't deliberate on what you want. Order quick. People took home dozens and such. The only thing that could have been improved was the cream cheese situation - New Yorkers are all about that and I was disappointed when they just gave Philadelphia. Cheap and good.
