I'm very loyal to my local pub but I will admit to some of its flaws.
It really is a summer joint as the patio is a lot of the reason why I go. Located right in the middle of Main Street Unionville, you can get a cold beer and people watch like it's your day job.
The food can be good, depending on what you get. I discovered a cheesecake here (ended up finding the bakery and cut out the middle man) that I love, and other items like the greek salad and the bruschetta (always with cheese) are great as well.
The service is probably the most sour point. It's got some great staff (usually younger) who are very attentive, but it's also filled with older waiters and waitresses who have clearly gone beyond the point where they should be in contact with humans. And while we don't blame them for their "I've been doing this s*** for way too long" attitude...we kind of blame them.
The bottom line: great in the summer time and some good food, but hope for a younger waiter/waitress.
