| - Love, love, LOVE this hotel! My husband and I recently visited Toronto for a friend's wedding and stayed in this amazing hotel for 4 nights. The staff is incredibly helpful and so friendly. Everywhere you go there is someone opening a door for you or asking if you are happy with your stay. The food is amazing in the hotel restaurant, great room service at almost any time of day, and they offer a free breakfast on the mezzanine every morning. Breakfast is buffet style and simple but the coffee is to-die-for. There is a beautiful lounge separate from the lobby with books, games, a fireplace, and the most magical coffee machine that spits out a mocha latte, hot chocolate, or drink of choice with the push of a button. The hotel is in the Entertainment District which means there is plenty to see and do well into the evening and during the day. We loved the Second City show which was maybe 100 feet away from the entrance of the hotel.
Rooms are equipped with all the basics, including ear plugs in case the Toronto night life is a little noisy for you. The hotel staff will bring you almost anything you need. In fact, I even called down when I was left in a pinch with no one to zip my dress!! A lovely staff member from housekeeping was there in a flash to help with my wardrobe emergency so I could get to the event on time. To top it off, when we left the hotel and arrived at the airport I had every traveler's nightmare flash back and realized that I left an entire drawer of clothes at the hotel! I called to explain and Nancy, the best concierge in the world, assured me that she would retrieve my things, package them, and find the most affordable way to ship them to Texas. After receiving an email from Nancy with a tracking number for my package of abandoned clothes, I had to review the Hotel Le Germain for their excellent service from start to finish (and even after you are gone ;). Thank you, staff, for a wonderful stay! We hope to return again!
