Just moved to the area and was in major need of finding a stylist to take care of what has become a disaster of mop/science experiment on my head. Apparently my dreams of growing my hair out and twirling it around like a Cool Water cologne commercial needed to come to an end per everyone I know. I really gave it a good run but when I assumed I looked like Brad Pitt I looked in the mirror this morning and in all actuality I looked like a bad rendition of The Hangover meets a horror flick meets meets David Hasselhoff circa-1985 (i.e., thick hair). Full disclosure, I am a DH fan but apparently the thick perm is out nowadays.
Yelped a few places and came across Elliott & Co. The reviews were great and they welcome walk-in's so I drove down. Glad I did. Everyone was friendly from the lady at the front desk to the stylist.
I was introduced to my stylist, Stephanie Madrid, and showed her a picture of what I'd like it to look like in a perfect world and she took it from there. She did an amazing job. I've lived all over the country and she probably did a better job than anyone I've been to. Usually I'm stuck explaining myself and talking in circles and eventually end up with some weird do, but I didn't have to explain anything to Stephanie. Showed her the pic, she ran with it and it turned out better than I could've hoped for. She was also fun to talk to. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and this will be the only place I go for my haircut from here on out.
I liked that everyone in the shop was professional, stylish and seemingly personable but down to business. Definitely a classy joint.
