Used to go here all the time when it was wild bills and I met the owner a couple of years ago and she was very cool and did a lot of nice things with the bar. Moved back into neighborhood.recently so thought I'd drop by my old stomping grounds. I ordered a drink and hung out for a few and then went to the food truck to get something to go. I ordered a ham and Swiss on rye and asked the cook to please toast the bread instead of grilling it cuz I don't like oil on it. He pointed to the toaster and said "no problem". I came back a few min later and saw he was grilling the bread on the grill He said " I'm grilling it on the grill but I'm not using any oil". I said ok since he had already started it and I just hoped it would be good even though he totally ignored my request. When he was done I asked him for a side of mayo and he said "it's 50 cents extra Thought that was weird and he added "mayonnaise is expensive but I gave you mustard". I then asked him for extra ketchup and he said "I can't do that , I gave you one. " I had already prepaid him and tipped him 18% so that rubbed me the wrong way. At this point I said "that's ridiculous , this is the last time I'm coming here. To which he replied "Good". When I got the sandwich home I realized it had not Swiss cheese but that cheap processed cheese food crap. It was terrible and the fries had a gallon of salt on them. I realize it's bar food but COME ON! Thought Cheri might like to know. I couldn't remember Cheri's name until I got home and called the bartender to ask. Bartender told me she couldn't give out her name unless I knew it. I guess it's a big secret or they want to avoid telemarketers(or are afraid someone might complain). All in all was a crappy experience and I'm not going back anytime soon. I'm sure there are plenty of other neighborhood pubs around with friendlier staff and better cooks.
